Find Many Uses For A Torch Lighter

He had browned the creme brulee dessert perfectly and it made a fitting ending to what had been a perfect wedding anniversary dinner. The anniversary celebration had almost been ruined earlier in the evening when the clasp on the beautiful antique necklace he had given his wife broke and was almost lost. Fortunately he had his torch lighter with him and he was able to make a quick repair.

Finding just the right necklace for his wife on their anniversary had been a stroke of luck. She loved antique jewelry. Imagine the sorrow if his wife had lost this necklace so soon after receiving it because the clasp on it had broken! These necklaces are often very delicate and it could have been lost forever. Thank goodness he had the right tool with him to solder it properly into place. When he used his torch lighter to brown the creme brulee at the restaurant he had just been showing off, but his wife loved it.

When he had first started his hobby of smoking cigars a year ago, he bought the very first torch lighter that he ever owned. He chose a type that had a steel hole punch that could be retracted. A newer model of torch lighter which was purchased more recently included a cutting tool to use with cigars that flips out. Now collecting different torch lighters had become his passion. There are butane torch lighters that are small enough to be carried in a pocket. There are bigger versions that can hold 8 ounces or more of fuel which have the ability to keep burning for long periods, from half an hour to 2 hours. Last year he had to use one to thaw out the lock which had frozen shut on the storage shed during a bad cold spell in the winter. He felt comfortable knowing that if he ever needed to use this tool for doing work on electrical wiring, it was right there waiting in his tool box and it was ready for the job. In fact, he currently is keeping two of them in his tool box, just in case the need for them comes up, and there is also one in the kitchen. His wife recently used one to fix a broken spoon by using the torch lighter to do some soldering work.

Lighters that can be started up by simply pushing a button are very useful to have at the workbench. There are micro jet versions that work successfully to fix small plumbing problems, and they can be used for hobby activities as well. What a great item to include on a camping trip to start a fire or repair something that has broken! There is a kind of torch lighter that comes with a temperature control for the flame so a person can make adjustments to how strong it is and also change the length of the fire. This model has the shape of a pencil so it can easily be stored in a first aid kit. Another model which features a cap to ensure safe use can be kept for emergencies in the glove compartment of a car.

Now he considers the torch lighter as the most useful and thoughtful gift he can give anyone whether it is for a birthday or a special occasion such as Christmas. The torch lighter has so many uses that it is a helpful item to have for doing home repairs and hobbies. It is handy to have in the workshop or whenever you just need to light a flame.
